RX8800 series is an integrated service bearer router launched by H3C for the 5G service bearer requirements of operators. It is an ideal platform for operators to build carrier-grade integrated bearer networks. Supports Segment Routing, EVPN, PCEP, Telemetry, VLL, L3/L2 VPN, QinQ, NG-MVPN, and other features. It can be used in combination with the SR and RA devices developed by H3C to build a well-structured comprehensive bearer network. The device adopts the SDN-oriented software architecture, enabling smooth evolution to the future network. The device has the plug and play feature, which makes deployment easier and facilitates operators to provide the bearer of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G mobile services and the bearer of government-enterprise services.
Operational level reliability
The RX8800 series provides multi-layer reliability protection and provides a comprehensive and complete network solution at the device, link, network, and service levels, fully meeting the reliability requirements of various services of carriers. 99.999% system availability is the cornerstone of reliable service interconnection. The series supports two main control boards and four switching network boards. The main control board and switching network board are physically separated, that is, the control plane and the forwarding plane are physically separated and do not affect each other. The series supports N+M redundancy backup for power supply and fans, and supports online hot swap for key components.
Perfect IPRAN solution
The RX8800 series meets the requirements for multi-service access: It provides a variety of traditional 2G/3G/LTE bearer technologies such as HVPN, L2+L3 and Native IP, supports clock synchronization technologies such as 1588v2 and synchronous Ethernet, and supports Segment Routing, EVPN, PCEP, NG-MVPN, Netconf and other technologies. Supports detection features at different levels, such as Y.1731, RFC2544, hardware BFD, and hardware Telemetry, and meets the requirements of smooth evolution from 2G, 3G, and 4G to future 5G networks. The device fully supports IPv6 routing protocols, including static routes, OSPFv3, IS-ISv6, and BGP4+, and supports IPv6 terminal access, IPv6 ACL, and ipv6-based policy-based routing. In the future, smooth evolution to IPv6 can be achieved.
Perfect QoS mechanism
The RX8800 provides a comprehensive Quality of Service (QoS) scheduling mechanism and supports multiple service traffic classification methods and service traffic identification to flexibly differentiate services and ensure scheduling fairness. The RX8800 supports PQ, WRR, and WFQ, supports streaming scheduling, facilitates MPLS TE/SR BE/SR TE implementation, supports Diffserv and InterServ mechanisms, supports Level 5 HQos, MPLS VPN, VLL, and PWE3 QoS capabilities, and supports the Diffserv and Interserv mechanisms. Ensure end-to-end network QoS deployment capabilities, enabling users to properly configure and efficiently utilize network resources.
New generation network operating system
The RX8800 control plane uses the Symmetrical Multi-Processing (SMP) technology and symmetrical multi-processing (Symmetrical Multi-processing) technology to run the advanced operating system Symmetrical Multi-processing (Comware V7). Each software module has independent operating space and can be dynamically loaded and updated to implement ISSU.
Comware V7 ensures business-critical performance and real-time performance. The system can specify a process Set to run on a dedicated CPU Set, which provides resource guarantee, preemptive thread scheduling, and reasonable priority setting for the operation of critical tasks. This ensures that functions requiring real-time performance can still respond to events in a timely manner when the system CPU load is high.
Comware V7 supports distributed computing. Global services, such as MPLS and BGP, can run on the specified main control CPU system. The main programs of global services can be distributed to different main control systems, which can effectively share the pressure on cpus and improve the overall system performance. A global service can realize the distributed computing of a global service by further splitting the subfunctions and distributing the sub-functions to different main CPU systems. Some control protocols are related to specific interface boards. For example, ARP can be distributed to the boards where interfaces reside and run autonomously.
